Ramadan collection 2023
Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatulahi wa barakatuhu brothers and sisters
This year we raised £350 in donations in addition to our clothing collection. After exchange, the funds were distributed as follows:
"When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)." (Muslim)
Because of your donation, children will be able to learn the quran and the operations of schools and mosques will be ensured. Inshallah we will receive the reward of the quran that the children were able to learn whenever they recite it and whenever they teach it
"I and the caretaker of the orphan will enter Paradise together like this, raising (by way of illustration) his forefinger and middle finger jointly, leaving no space in between." (Bukhari)
How many orphan children do you think can be provided for on the D20,000 we allocated to the schools? And how many did we make happy on eid by providing them clothes? Inshallah we will be counted among the people rasulullah (saws) was talking about. We encourage each and every one of you to continue your generousity going forward
Once again, we would like to thank Jollof services for fulfilling our request and getting the clothes to Gambia in time for Eid. Please check out www.jollofservices.com for freight transport between the UK and Gambia.
